Artist History
Formed in 1988 by drummer Ken Kelley & Vocalist/Guitarist Steve Hickox. With Derek Robichaud (lead guitar) and P.J. Dunphy (Bass) joining in 1990-1991, The Monoxides were fully functional. With the release of their first EP "Out of the Marsh" on Handsome Boy records, they created a huge following Canada wide. Following, the guys signed a deal with BMG Canada and then recorded "Galaxy Of Stooges" produced by Moe Berg of "The Pursuit Of Happiness", the boys set yet again on a cross North American tour. After splitting from BMG Canada in early 98, the boys stayed Indie and recorded their new album (due July 2000) entitled "The Free Release Of Energy" in their hometown of Moncton, New Brunswick. The boys are awaiting the album release and a tour will follow. |
