Artist description
With three singer / song writers, San Diego-based heavy rock band Shadow Drop
provides a refreshing response to the current music scene. What began as a high school
hobby has transformed into the fastest-growing heavy rock act in Southern California.
Shadow Drop pulls its influence from all aspects of music to create original and
unparalleled songs. Shadow Drop absorbs the musical talent of bands such as Pantera,
Metallica, Slayer, Korn, and COC while also incorporating aspects of music in other
genres, like Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, and Primus. Shadow
Drop draws influence from all music and produces a combination that is unique, setting
them apart from the rest. |

Artist History
Shadow Drop has encountered great success because of originality, and a high energy,
unforgettable live performance. Their principal objective is to continue to expand their
large fan base. During their "Overshadowed" Tour (summer 2000), they played main stage
for the Vans Warped Tour in Soda Springs, CA alongside such acts as Suicide Machines,
Papa Roach, NOFX, and Green Day. Kevin Lyman added Shadow Drop to The Vans
Warped Tour 2001, and they played many West Coast dates with acts such as Blink 182,
311, & Alien Ant Farm. Shadow Drop has had the privilege to play many prominent
venues all over the west coast. They have played shows at major Hollywood clubs like
The Roxy, The Whisky, The Gig, Martini Lounge, The Joint, and Coconut Teazsers.
Shadow Drop plays regularly with nationally-touring bands like Welt, Brougham, Earth
Crisis, Glass Jaw. In Feb 2001 ASCAP show cased Shadow Drop at the Viper Room. |
