Artist History Jon tried some open mics sessions in the 1980's, but didn't go anywhere except in his head, so he cooked, waited tables, ran sound for a band, not having the time to develop any songwriting skills when the little precious time off was strictly devoted to partying. Then he joined the Army in 1987 and didn't write songs or perform again until 1997. He won the 1997 Army Hawaii Battle of the Bands. Jon grew up in Corpus Christi, and wanted to return to Texas following his service in the Army, so he now lives in central Texas and performs in very small coffeeshops and taverns trying to develop his craft.
