Artist History
Although the success of their former bands, Believer, Sacrament and Sardonyx had won them world-wide recognition in the thrash and metal genres, the members of Fountain of Tears had not fully tapped their creative potential. In order to retain creative control and to work at a relaxed pace, they began to write for their first independent release. This unique album features not only the vocal versions of their songs, but also the instrumental versions as they were originally written. |

Press Reviews
Incredibly artful, doomy progmetal. Loads of piano and a well-done mixingjob make this an atmospheric gem. . . Very, very refined – this albumdeserves a mass-market release. – James Bickers, Sea of TranquilityThis CD showcases some of the most sublime moments in female-frontedprogressive metal. – Christian Rademaker, Edge of TimeThis band most definitely has a superb sense of drama and a firm grasp ofproggy dynamics. – John Collinge, ProgressionI would call their music progressive rock, but it’s hard to describe theirstyle. In my opinion, they’re not to be compared to any band at all. Thesongs sound very mystical . . . of an unknown beauty . . . – Metal MaidensHaunting atmospheric keyboards swirl around the soaring vocals of AnnaDeRose and are punctuated with sizzling guitar work. – Brian Currin, SA Rock DigestThe debut release from Fountain of Tears is a true piece of art . . . Thisfive-member band from Pennsylvania has made the term "progressive" their ownby creating a truly unique sound for themselves. – Casey J. Payne, Sanctuary International |
