Artist History
Delores ran away from home at 21, joined a band of gypsies and panhandled her way to California where she was introduced into a slacker way of life. One day she met Mark Clayton at a park concert and the two hit it off well. They formed their first band, "Freaks In Nalked Heat," an alternative 80's band influenced by Missing Persons and later joined a Salsa/ Polka/Reggae group called Kamikaze 5. However, neither really took off. Disenchanted with the music scene, Mark and Delores lost touch but were later reunited by a mutual friend, J.L. Stroud, Jr. Now they are attempting something a bit more different, "Story Rock," a combination of rap-storytelling with techno overtones. The effect is unbelievable and as weird as Delores Darling hereself, the brainchild behind their latest incarnation. When not singing, Delores Darling balances a 3-fold career as an exotic dancer, voice talent and fugitive retrieval agent for her family's bail bonding business. She enjoys target practice, Tarantino movies and inspiring Jimmy with sordid little tales of action-oriented insanity. |
