Artist description
October Elsewhere (formerly known as August Everywhere) consists of four people in a "studio" with fairly old microphones and a digital recorder. (On our album, "After August Ends", there are only three of us.) Our primary focus is alternative rock, but we enjoy many different styles. |

Artist History
Well...Jerry Woods started his first group at the age of 6 (listen to Mister Sun). In high school (1987), he and three of his friends formed the Hereafter. That band split. Jerry and the drummer then formed Badtiming in 1989 with two other musicians. Jerry plays guitar. The bass player left and Jon Hiltibran joined in 1990. Shortly after, Lisa Chester joined. The name changed to August Everywhere in 1996. Then the other guitarist left and was replaced. Then, the new guitarist left with the drummer. (Are you confused yet? Wait, it gets better) In 1999, Jerry, Jon and Lisa recorded Outside the Lines. (Luckily, Jerry and Jon can play drums.) Our friend Carlos joined us as drummer as we were completing the album. Then, we found out that another August Everywhere existed in Seattle. And, since we wanted to get exposure in Seattle, we changed the name to October Elsewhere and the album to After August Ends. (Cute, huh?) We are currently writing a screenplay--just kidding. ;-) |
