Artist History All members are from the Sierra Nevadas in California. Each played in different groups, touring and recording. The band first formed around 1980, a "new" version of a band called "Awaken" with original members Michael Goodell & Jim Bloodgood. Kevin Jachetta joined the group, bringing an incredible new dimension of vocal arrangements and multiple keyboard performance. Critics continually praised the trio as having a much larger sound than their numbers, as each member provided intricate instrumental arrangements and layered vocals. Trilogy toured extensively throughout the West, opening for other artists such as The Greg Kihn Band, 415 (later to be known as The Eric Martin Band), Tom Johnston (of Doobie Brothers fame), Y&T and others. Careful and deliberate effort was always put into recording. Trilogy always made provisions to archive their studio recordings, and still have many hours of live concert recordings yet to be released. The two CDs available here are just a sampling of some prime cuts from that archive.
