Artist History
First of all, I must confess, that the history of The Nation is very dry and very unsexy...no wild gigs...no women anxiously waiting in the dressing room...no endless touring...To dress it up as anything more than my personal songwriting pilgrimage would be a form of counterfeit mythmaking...The Nation recordings and releases range from full blown 24 track studio productions to 4 track demo sessions...I consider most of these recordings as rough charcoal sketches that could be improved upon by another artist or producer...my vocals are an aquired taste...for me, songwriting is a passionate hobby...all this business can be summed up quite simply...I thought about it, recorded it and a handful of people thought it was good...The days of delusions of grandeur are long behind me now - success is a state of mind...Greetings From The Dashboard... |
