Artist History
15-years playing drums for various rock/grundge groups in the Seattle area. Affiliations included Bear Creek Studios and Moribund Records. Pushed by electronic beats, I began exploring electronica in '95 with programs like Hammerhead and CoolEdit'95. It was 98 that I began a residency and affiliation with Seattle’s Superhighway dance club playing various software programs live over the PA. I currently use programs like Digital Thunder, Reason, Cubase, Rebirth, Recycle, CoolEdit Pro and Acid to create, what I believe, is a unique sonic experience spanning many genres of electronic music. In the future I’m looking to incorporate a set of Roland V-Drums for a more active live set as well as a more organic layer to the music itself. |

This is funky. This is cool. I'm jamming out to a fabulous percussion line, perhaps one of the best I've heard in some time.
David Little is an enigmatic electronic artist who is capable of crossing over into realms of hip hop or even alt. A great example of his electronic chops is his breakbeat track entitled "Electric".
Folks, this man knows how to make the drums sing. I've heard some groovy electronic percussion of late, but this beat gets my motor running. The drums are actually played like drums, not some pattern-sequenced imitation. And the backing percussion: it is simply sublime. I love hand percussion, and David integrates it into this beat with aplomb.
The piece starts with an abstract, almost beatless intro that at first seemed odd. Upon relistening, however, I find that the more and more I hear it, the more I like it.
Then the main percussion line kicks in, with tastefully sparse bass and lead synth lines. Quirky scratch fx dance along the side, as well as the occasional odd vox stab.
Overall I'm intrigued by this song and by this artist. He has a unique and cohesive voice that, at its best, is simply captivating. Give him a listen.
