Artist History Betsy X were born in Feb of 98 after a long and tiresome pregnancy involving one miscarriage known as "Obesity" - a band Tom and Oka were previously in. Unaware of what direction they were heading in, Betsy X began covering bands such as Blink 182 and Millencolin which would later influence their writing style. After a tough first year of breaking ground, they soon became regulars in the Wangaratta music scene. Playing in "battle of the bands" here and there, they were soon known as the half-arsed act of the small country town. Often turning up late to venues - more often than not drunk - they affected crowds in amazing ways. One member of the crowd on a certain night was later quoted as saying, "...oh my God. Those boys of Betsy X are cute. That dave has a fine piece of arse!". It was support like this that lead them to the position they now stand at - a nobody band in a nobody town. However, Betsy X are hoping to make a stand in the near future. Sick to death of rising fuel prices, the band hopes to make an appearance in Parliament House soon. Oka was quoted one night saying, "...I'd root that Pauline Hanson. Just for the hell of it". So why is it, if Betsy X have not made it, and really have no chance of making it, that they insist on having a web page like this? Because they want your support!
