Artist History Ainey are the product of a disease commonly known as Splitting Disorder. In 1999 several bands (Pain Trip, Dupe Weedle and Implosion) all disbanded leaving a fine collection of honed, but bored musicians. Ainey were orignally formed as a joke band only now, they're the ones laughing as they've become one of the best bands in the Berkshire area. Ainey practiced through the summer of '99 creating the songs which appear on the affectionatly titled "A-hole" demo. After just four months, Ainey played their first gig to a large audience at the Waterside in Newbury (with now departed DJ Batphink). They've gone on to sell over one hundred copies of their five track demo (mentioned above), headline the Thruxton 2000 event and play with the likes of Junk DNA, Stegel and Glitch. Ainey headed back into the studio in October 2000 and recorded a futher 3 tracks setting a new, more melodic direction to their sound. In January of 2001 they headed out on a short tour of the UK with friends Stegel (see links) and have been practicing and demoing all year in preperation for a 6 track EP and long UK tour soon.
