Over the years, she has had the honor of meeting such jazz greats as Anita O'Day, Sarah Vaughan, Chris Connor, Bob Cooper (husband of June Christy and sax player with Stan Kenton), Howard Rumsey (Lighthouse All-Stars), Helen Humes (vocalist with Count Basie) and Paul Smith (long-time pianist for Ella Fitzgerald). |
