Artist History
Born in 1975, Kevin Blount has been playing guitar and bass since he was thirteen and has been performing live in rock and psychedelic bands since he was sixteen. From 1996 until their split last year, Kevin was bass guitarist and co-songwriter for Electric Aunt Jemima, a heavy spacerock three piece who established themselves on the outer Birmingham scene, gathering a large following and attaining much favourable critical attention. Their gigs ranged from playing clubs in London and Nottingham to headlining the outdoor Tamworth Rock Festival, the scene from which Wolfsbane (briefly) emerged. After the split of Electric Aunt Jemima, Kevin played a number of local gigs with Mother Sky, a more traditional rock band for whom he also provided backing vocals. Recently he has been dedicating time to his solo project, The Sense, writing and producing his own fusion of rock, psychedelia and hardcore, and experimenting with new music mediums such as the internet. The Sense is currently looking for publishing and recording deals. |
