Artist History Growing up outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in a town called Racine, Mark Valdez Jr. AKA 0riOn lived on Lincoln street, what was once a nice neighborhood an turned into the ghetto. Moving to a different house an being depressed but meeting my best friend Peter Missureli, who is also the person that got him into hip hop. Growing up listening to 2pac mainly, he wrote his first song with his best friend but never got it recorded.After his best friend moved to Pheonix,AZ, he felt alone an put his emotions in rhymes and developed into more of an emcee. Joining Homegrownhiphopzone.com 0riOn was going to be the youngest elite till HG shut down for awhile and he hasn't even been rhyming a year. His first rhymes were written in march 21st of 1999, and he started spitting by may 99. He's quickly developing skills and versatile rhymes rather it's talking about how he feels or about something that isn't right or just battle rhymes or just true emotions. Displaying punchlines and ill wordplay he might be 1 of the iLLest lyricists. Shortly After his best friend left 0riOn got into rappers such as : Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Royce 5'9, Outlawz, Nas, Eminem, Outsidaz, Pacewon, Proof, Dirty Dozen, Common, Canibus, and lots more. Mainly inspired by Mos Def, Kweli and Canibus, 0riOn focuses and practices the art of emceeing at least 3 hours a day rather it's freestyling at work or just practicing at home over some music loops. "Every day i grow up and want to be like another person each time but i want someone to look at me and be like me" - 0riOn... I say that to myself everyday for more motivation on making it into the hip hop industry. After recording his 26 minute freestyle on real audio 0riOn finally built the confidence instead of thinking he was wack and with low self esteem, didn't think he'd go anywhere. 0riOn's style can differ as well, 1 of the most versatile emcees, he can lace a freestyle about what he's wearing or about a public problem or even kick a rhyme about inanimate objects in the room hes in.The only thing he dreams about it doing a live show, rockin a crowd, and making it into hip hop for a career seeing's how he's dropped out of school at the young age of 16.
