Artist History
At the beginning of the 1999 school year, Jesse Stuckey met Matt Schwaggler in one of his high school classes. They both happened to like the style of music played by Sublime. For months they sat around waiting for something to come of it. Then, in early March, Dane Murphy moved to our area from Bend, Oregon. He had skill as a drummer, so The three of them decided to get toghter for a few jam sesions. Matt had promised to eventually buy his bass, but until then Erik Oien, had helped fill in, Unfortunely Erik could not help Slander any longer due to his own band, Middle Dexter. Also, Matt hasn't been able to get a job so... ... he hasn't been able to get a bass and he isn't in the band any longer. After Erik's departure Slander recieved a new lead guitarist. His name was Adam and he's pretty cool. So now as a powerful trio, Slander needed a bassist and thats where Yury Lizunov came in, after playing bass for The Pimps and Sammy Speaks His Mind, Yury was introduced to Jesse. After severel weeks of practice the boys of Slander had to change the name to Mr. Fairweather due to legal reasons. Soon after, Adam Cox, Lead Guitar, had left the band to pursue a metal project. He might show up from time to time, but he is pretty much out and we wish him good luck for his future. Attempts were made to find a new lead guitarist and Ryan Zielonka of Some Assembly Required had made a short stay with Mr.Fairweather until the band decided it would be better to keep itself a trio. thats it for now. |
