Artist History
This edgy little unit was set into orbit by libertarian fiction writer, Chicagoan and former no-wave musician Thom K Bailey in 1999. Far from just another entry in the electronic music sweepstakes, these efforts take into consideration a number of sonic and philosophical influences. With an ultimate goal of encouraging freedom of expression through creatively mangled and processed sound, the band's maiden voyage "Demonochrome" was released in May 2000 on the venerable Staalplaat label's Open Circuit side label, with another CD ep in the making. Thom is a researcher of "weird" and esoteric subjects, and also of the history of anarchism. He sees these interests as being complementary to each other and one step toward living a better life in today's "saturated" society. |
