Artist description
A lot of different styles and influences is a natural part of our music which spans from free-rock improvisational songs to typical punk-rock hits and soft ballads. The members of the band are to 3/4 parts academics with degrees in politics, computer science, and music. We all live in Stockholm and try to play as much as possible. Our new album has been produced and mixed by the band and Mikee in Upplands-Väsby, Stockholm. Everything from cover/inner sleeve to mastering has been financed by the band. The record is printed in Canada in collaboration with classic punk-label AMP-records, although we are not under any contractual obligations to any label. Check out our website at www.latense.nu for more info and details. |

Artist History
Formed in 1999, having played together in different bands for years, we wanted to get something going, and LaTense was conceived. With this band we wanted to play kick-ass music and tour the world for all time coming. We also wanted to be able to have a more open attitude towards what we were playing, not letting different styles or genres stop us from creating great music. We think LaTense is the right vehicle for such artistery. At our website (www.latense.nu) you can read more about the history of the band and also check out our "statement of intent" (under the header "NoNorm") where we explain and present what we want to do more closely. |
