Artist description
I like to make and perform Music. I love live performance, the vibe of the people and the energy is great! I sing because of the love God has placed in my heart, I feel it is my duty to uplift those that are down and discouraged...I put my all into my vocals and the words I write. They all have a Deeper Meaning. The lyrics are meant to show everyone that God is Love, and that love was brought forth by Jesus Christ, God's only Son. |

Press Reviews
Coco is on a mission. She offer's her Christian message gift wrapped in a variety of dance styles. The song on our playlist is a casing point. 'My challenge was to make the song one that can be played in a nightclub, because many people that go to clubs ain't about to step foot in a church. Since my mission is to win people for Christ, I gotta go where the people are! And jam while I'm doing it.' And that she does. Starting out as a jazz vocalist, Coco's progression into dance has been a success. Combining her jazzy-tinged vocals against a tough drum & bass beat has produced a sound that is refreshingly new. With a DAM cd under her belt and Cosmic Butterfly getting airplay, Coco is keen to point out that there's more on the way. 'I like to make and perform music. I sing because of the love God has placed in my heart, I feel it is my duty to uplift those that are down and discouraged.'We asked for the story behind Cosmic Butterfly. 'In my frustration and desire to bring truth and light to the world, Cosmic Butterfly was born. The butterfly is a metaphor of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a song that says, basically, "allow us to take you from entropy to Love!" Namely, the Love of God.'-(Review on http://www.thisistheloft.com/featured/cocostreet/cocostreet.html#topofpage) Coco Street's "Cosmic Butterfly" is a gorgeous collection of songs by this very talented woman. She is foremost a jazz vocalist, but easily makes the transition into dance music. Her CD is available through MP3.com and is worth checking out. One of my favorite tracks by Coco is her soulful drum n bass song entitled "Cosmic Butterfly". The track is silky smooth and the production quality is great.(NAJM RECORDS http://www.najmrecords.com)Jazz-inspired vocalist from Los Angeles delivers prayers to God over a neatly arranged House mix. Smooth mixes for the pure of heart. (Reviewed by Melissa P. Listen.com) "I really love house music. And this is GOOD!With so many people in the "POP" music biz doing remix after remix and calling it "house". It's great that someone is giving us the real stuff. KEEP IT COMING!" JEReid - Artificial Worlds"cosmic butterfly" - starts with cool sounds. I love the beat, sort of break beatish. Sounds a little like the SUPREME BEINGS OF LEISURE, I totally love your voice. This song kicks! I like when you reach that"Butterfly" line in that harmony and vocal layers, thats TIGHT! I really enjoy this stuff a lot!!!! Keep up all this stuff, its just...wow! WOW! (I havn't given 2 wows yet)! If anybody gets a chance, check out Coco Street, she's totally off the hook. Get her while she's still free on MP3.com." -Avalo |
