    Artist History
Rob Hunt and Ted Pearce used to have a popular rock band called Side Effex in the late 80's. They both got SAVED [you oughta try it!] in the early 90's and began writing songs that could be played on acoustic guitars in the streets of Dallas. It was over by 1993 but was resurrectedin in 1998 when they went into the studio to record this album with many of those early songs and some new ones by drummer/vocalist Michael Morales and bassist Ted Whitehead. You won't hear anything else quite like it.

What they are saying.........SOME COMMENTS WE'VE BEEN GETTING FROM RADIO STATIONS AROUND THE WORLD ******************************I've listened to the Crucible Compilation and played a few cuts. My picks are Brother Bob, "Snow Blind," 7 Channels, "Take Me," Nomadic Farmers, "Papa Said," and Flow, "Surfboard." I like much of the music on the CD. You are right, it is an awesome compilation CD. A few of the other songs may be good for my radio show, also, but those are the songs that I am trying out on my radio audience. I don't play a lot of the loud or hardcore music, but from time to time a Metalica fan will request something with that sound. I found Eloi to be a good Metalica alternative.Lyle Bayless WSRW's "Sunday Nite Alive!"**************************************************HEY YOU FARMER!!!!!! I received your cd today & have played it straight thru three times.... That probably doesn't phase you...but with all the stuff I get every day, I usually only have time for onesong per cd....WELL... Ted, GREAT STUFF!!!! I was very pleased.... I know that I will be playing several cuts off this cd....God Bless you! Please keep me posted on anything coming out of the ROBO Studio!!!!Samme WITR in Rochester, New York / Living Rock Ministries**************************************************Hello from Iowa!!!!!!!I got Nomadic Farmers and Crucible Compilation CD's the other day in the mail. WOW!! You are, obviously, a very gifted, annointed and talented musician-performer-singer-songwriter-producer, etc. You are the real thing in a world full of wannabe's. For what it's worth, I believe you are "superstar" material. It would not surprise me one bit to see The Lord expand you borders greatly. Watch out! See you on the radio. Tom Dooley Host of "The Journey" on the American Family Network (sydicated to over 160 stations)******************************************************************************I am really impressed with your compilation. The quality throughout is there. My opinion is that the first three songs (Ted Pearce, Ramsie Shick, and Brother Bob) are the strongest and so diverse. I also enjoyed Nomadic Farmers and 3rd Story. I will be playing some of the selections on the air this Friday to let people know about the music scene in Dallas....Fred McNaughton/ station manager WJTL / Lancaster, PA*********************************************** I'm impressed...This might be the best independant compilation I've heard since mootown's series...We are featuring the compilation all this week at KADU... I am extremely impressed with the quality of the material. The songs we have aired so far are: "Step of Faith" from Ted Pearce (1998) by Ted Pearce "Through It All" from The Nomadic Farmers (1998) by The Nomadic Farmers Thanks again for sending me the CD's, and definitely keep me in mind for any new projects you may have. I'd like to hear more of your material in particular. You are an awesome guitarist!Blair Frodelius "Inner Groove" Syracuse, NY 13209 *********************************************Greetings Ted,I've listened to most of the album and I'm impressed with the crisp/clear production and the mix of rock and blues (my own taste in music tends more to the blues side of your music. Having two vocalists in yourself and Michael adds to the variety. The tracks that stand out for me and which I will include on my playlist are: 'Through It All' (I'll use this especially during Lent/Easter - powerful music and lyrics) & 'Choose' (great blues rock)These 2 stand out for me at this stage - granted this was my first listen. Frank Rasenburg 'Message In Music' Barossa, Australia Triple Bfm 89.1 ********************************************Thanks for sending your CD's, "Ted Pearce and the Nomadic Farmers", and "Crucible Compilation 1998."The CD that I prefer of the two is the former. Ted has produced some very good music. Some of the songs are more culturally relevant to the US, and some might be misunderstood (such as "High on Jesus").The songs that will work best for what I have in mind are: "Since You Came Into My Life", "Choose", "Love will conquer all", and perhaps, "Trust Him", as well.In my mind, the best song on the Crucible CD is again from Ted Pearce. "Step of Faith" is a very good song. Scott McDonald Looking Up Radio Finland, Europe --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
