Michael Hurley is an unique American troubadour with 13 distributed albums and a highly original songwriting output. His songs have been covered by many other artists and have influenced the likes of Loudon Wainwright III and Michelle Shocked to name but a couple. He continues to perform around the USA and Europe and is currently supported by an all-girl line-up, the Lunabelles. |

Artist History
Michael Hurley recorded his first album, First Songs, on the Folkways label in 1965. He went on to record for Rounder, Rooser Fundamental, Field Recording and Raccoon. His seminal Armchair Boogie and Hi-fi Snock uptown albums were recorded in the early 1970s and are much-sought-after collectors items. Have Moicy!, recorded in 1975 with the Unholy Modal Rounders, and Jeffrey Frederick & the Clamtones is a raucous country classic. |
