Artist description
Not to be judged by her first album alone, Kathie Touinnot only does solo piano recordings, but also writes tight, adventurous songs, evocative lyrics, and produces her own recordings. Currently she isworking on variety of projects ranging from a keyboard driven vocal album to an instrumental album of electronic and acoustic textures and world rhythms. Artist History
Kathie Touin began playing piano at age seven, and played keyboards in several rock and progressive rock bands in high schoolbefore attending the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston. After leaving Berklee she played in several bands inLos Angeles, before going solo and landing a recordingcontract with Sundown Records where she released her Soliloquy album.She has worked with artists such as Keith Emerson and Patrick Morazand played on a variety of album releases. In 1998 Kathie left Los Angeles for Seattle where she continues to write and record. |
