Artist History
Eye Kandy is a 6 piece synthcore band which formed in the summer of 1997 and became the prime musical outlet for all its members. Experimenting with different styles and forms of recording the band created a sound that is unique and all their own. Eye Kandy's sound is a collage of overdriven guitars and melodic keyboard sequences which blends the aggressive sound of modern rock/metal and the dense sound of electronic music , without leaning too much in either direction.
Lead vocalist and main songwriter Kaliss first musically collaborated with guitarist and good friend James on what became many of Eye Kandy's first songs. Their clashing ideas supplied an energy to the first songs that would soon come to define the band's sound. Drummer/programmer Tom became an influential presence within the band on- as well as offstage. In 2002, after years of a revolving door membership for live performances, Eye Kandy officially rounded out thier lineup with the addition of members, Gus (keyboards), Matt Wattz (guitars) and Mike (bass) |
