Artist description
The Chris Torres Band breaks into the new millenium with the release of their new album, Signs of Hope, a calendar full of gigs, and a bit of change in line-up (original bassist Robert Torres has just returned after recently graduating from college). The Carlsbad, California-based group is a four piece band—Chris Torres (guitar/lead vocals), Robert Torres (bass), Mike Russell (drums/percussion), and Dave Avina (percussion/guitar)—delivers a fearless blend of straight rock fused with a classic alternative edge and a smooth, modern blues twist. Aware of rock’s history and awed by its future, The Chris Torres Band bridges the gap between music which was, and where it is going. The group has performed its popular music in venues like Brick-by-Brick, Hennesey’s, and Dick’s Last Resort, and at larger outdoor events such as the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Carlsbad Street Fair, and Sony ArtWalk. |
