Artist History
Mauriano Lustosa e Márcio Veeck played together in a band, when in the beginning of 1991 they formed CARNIÇA with two more members. In april a jam in a rehearsal, Parahim Neto e Marlo Lustosa, Mauriano's brother, become members of the band definitively. In the beginning, the sound of the band was directed more for a heavy metal, but soon it got a feature more thrash. The first and the second demo-tape, both in 1992, precisely identify this initial proposal. During the next year, the sound went through a radical change, and under the influences of Sepultura, came into thrash metal strongly, getting a lot of eminence in the national and international underground scenery. From de 4th demo-tape on 1994 the band starts doing its sound more as a death metal without losing the pinches and details of heavy and thrash metal, resulting in a self style sound. All this work brings letters in english, directed to the public abroad, broaching subjects as violence, misery and human disturbance. Therefore CARNIÇA achieved several participations in compilations and also divulgation in the many zines and radios from european and south american countries. The ingress of Cesar Boufleur in the band allows even more agility and speed of the band's sound. On the august of 1999, the band release its independent CD, titled "Rotten Flesh" bringing, besides all the death/thrash of this sound, an inedited version of "Black Metal", a Venom's success. |
