Artist description
"Glynn continues to be a pop tunesmith at the top of his game. His songs have a deepening resonance."
- The Boston Globe
Searching for the lost magic of a simple voice and honest words? Boston troubadour Tom Glynn's graceful, soul-soothing music is a diamond in the rough of an industry overcrowded with commercialism and lyrical apathy.
Likened to singer/songwriter purists James Taylor and Evan Dando, Glynn walks the line between nostalgic and novel, revealing melodic rock tinged with folk and alt country.
Having fronted Boston's venerated bands 5-0 and Big Dig, Glynn embarked on a solo career, which lead to the birth of the Tom Glynn Band. Backing up Glynn on stage are veteran musicians Rudloff (Big Dig), Rizzuti (Euphorians) and Dorizzi (Division Street). As a solo artist Glynn has performed with Five For Fighting, The Push Stars and Rubyhorse.
Glynn's Rubyhorse-produced single, "Waiting To Be Born," garnered over 20,000 plays on mp3.com. The song's success prompted Glynn to record other songs that have earned him such acolytes as a winner in the first annual John Lennon Songwriting Contest and a nomination for Boston Music Award's Outstanding Songwriter.
Tom Glynn Band's stunning début, As Ever Goes, to be released early 2003, is currently available on CDBaby.com.
