Artist History TIBURÓN was formed back in October 1992 by Emilio Barrantes (guitar) and Manuel Alberati (vocals) and was supplemented in march 1993 by M. S. on drums. In September 1993 Pipo Muntwyler (bass guitar) completed the TIBURÓN line-up.After some personal problems the drummer was replaced by Ludi DeTotaro. Some gigs were done and finally TIBURÓN entered the studio to record their first Mini-CD "The Underdark" – containing 6 songs partly melodic and partly brutal Death Metal with extraordinary vocals - which was released in December 1994. Right after the release of the MCD the drummer left the band and as nobody was found to replace him, a drum machine was the only solution for TIBURÓN.More gigs followed and in the summer of 1996 the full length CD "Join Us" was recorded and released in a very limited edition, which is sold out. This CD contains 12 songs, including "Drop By Drop" which can be found on the "Voices Of Death" sampler. The three sharks changed their live show to massive splatter-killing-attack in the beginning of 1997.In November 1997 TIBURÓN released a Picture –EP called "Tales Of Malice" limited to 100 copies worldwide and containing 4 high-speed songs.In December 1997 a new member joined the league: Peter Erni. He plays the second guitar and supplies new ideas.A second Picture-EP has been released in May 1998. It is called "Sphereshifting" is also limited to 100 copies worldwide and contains 5 smashing songs.Because TIBURÓN tries be more innovative the idea grew to have a female voice in the band which gives a boost to new songs. So the additional singer Monika Bolliger joined the crew with her aggressive, powerful voice in August 1998.The new CD Tiburon Ataca has been release in December 1998 and brings 10 songs to the listener which have previously been released on picture discs.At the end of 1999 the Tiburón lineup changed. Pipo Muntwyler left the band and was replaced by Patrick Smonig.
