Artist History Band was created in 1987 by Texas Blues Hall of Famers TD Bell and ERbie Bowser with influences of T-Bone Walker who just happened to be cousin to the now band leader Mel Davis.We started what is commonly called blues happy hours in Austin.Having backed up stars like Long John Hunter, Lavell White, Pete Mays, Barbara Lynn, GreyGhost,Clarence Holiman and Carol Fran, and a host of othersthe Blues Specialists is perhaps the most experienced band in Austin.
