Artist History Red and Rum Porter began working together as the Excitement Brothers in a techno-hard rock hybrid called Original Blend in 1995. They started frequenting Tone Deaf Studios run by Bill Zimmerman. By 1997 as the sessions progressed they coaxed Bill, who conveniently also played bass into becoming Billy Bob and the Shorty Porter Brothers Boys were born. The Brother Boys soon decided to expand their sound and get on board the soul funky by inviting Tex Mex Dex into the family on guitar.1999 was a year of change with the departure of Billy Bob who went back to behind the scenes production. Also in 1999, due to litigation beyond their control the S.P.B.B. changed their name to Team Shorty. Team Shorty self released their first cd in February 2000 entitled "Truth & Knowledge". Team Shorty are currently working on new tracks for their next cd and are always out playing live shows..
