Artist description
Born in Northern Ireland, Paul Kimber has worked with most of the orchestras in London, circled the globe with the London Symphony Orchestra, been featured on the recently released album ‘The London Double Bass Sound’, appeared as a soloist at London’s Barbican Centre, and is currently Co-Principal double bass in the orchestra of English National Opera. He is active in jazz and sessions playing double bass and bass guitar, and teaches bass at the Royal Artillery Band. Paul Kimber writes mainly in the jazz genre, and his quartet recording ‘Peckham In Spring’, is an album consisting entirely of original compositions. He lives with his wife and children in Peckham, South London, UK. |
