Radio and MTV started to ignore successful straight ahead rock bands and began promoting alternative and punk music. But something happened as the new millenium began…..rock’n’roll decided it was time to wake up. Rock never died…it just took a rest. The year 2000 has brought many changes, but one thing hasn’t changed: $KYHIGH. After forming in 1995 amidst the height of the alternative movement, $KYHIGH decided to do what was in their hearts and that’s play the music they love…rock’n’roll. Finally after 5 years of hard work, dedication and being told that their style of music had passed, the band is ready to break out. One very important thing has happened because of this. Rock music fans are taking notice.Vocalist Steve Carnevale, lead guitarist Rich Antonelli, drummer Frank Soltys and bassist Rich Jesuino all have different musical influences but agree on what has made this band successful…..great songs make a great band.$KYHIGH’s debut CD, 'Tales From The Crib', has sold very well internationally via Texas based distributor, Perris Records and also through the band’s website. The disc is a combination of heavy guitar riffs, beautiful vocal melodies and a tight bottom end that makes each of the songs unforgettable. The CD has received excellent reviews from both national and international media publications as well as various online magazines.$KYHIGH’s fan base is dramatically expanding all the time. The band has provided tour support for many touring national acts including Warrant, Cinderella, Slaughter, Great White, White Lion, Sebastian Bach, Corey Glover, Enuff Znuff and more, in addition to headlining their own shows. The band is now recording the much awaited follow-up to the successful 'Tales' album.$KYHIGH also continues to remain visible during recording of the album by playing select gigs and doing promotional work whenever they can. With the video for 'Knife Through The Heart' receiving airplay in 9 states and a number of songs in rotation on radio stations in Rhode Island, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, $KYHIGH is one step closer to their dreams.
