Artist description Singer-Songwriter. Solo artist, voice and guitar. Troubadour. Shoe size: 45. Formerly: Timpada, a name I used when I was, as I call it: "in exile", far away from my children. Those days are behind me now and I have reverted back to Jack Groenland again. On Thursday nights I often sing a couple of songs in 'Molloys Acoustic Room' in High Street (Christchurch), in the centre of Dublin. Ken Burke is skillfully hosting an 'Open Mike' in excellent conditions for the musician and the audience. Some of Dublin's best songwriters perform here regularly. This is where one really feels at home. The talent that is on offer...!

Artist History *Born in Obdam (NH) in the Netherlands. Sang solo for the local choir at 10. Later: Solo artist, much travelling and changing. Now: My home is in Dublin (Ireland), (no plans to move on at present). I play in cofee shops, restaurants. *On Tuesday nights I used to sing a few songs in the Dame Tavern, Dame Lane, in the heart of Dublin City, in a 'unique' Dublin pub atmosphere: it can be challenging at times, or should I just be honest and say: very noisy... In February 2000 we released a collection CD with 20 of our homegrowns, called: "Nothing but the Dame old story", available in the Dame Tavern at the bar for only 5 pounds. Just ask Pat.
