Artist description A dance project called ELECTRIC COOL A ID (ECA) was initiated in January 1999. DJ Manio and DaRoddmann are the two founding members who have been good friends for a few years before their formation. The reason behind the creation of ECA was not only because of both members' friendship, but mainly their joint love of dance music and thirst for creative projects and music experimentation. As for solid and popular existing tastes, Manio prefers in his live sets, a deep progressive house, although he's able to listen to almost every type of dance music. DaRoddmann likes breakbeat a lot, and he also enjoys raw french house "a la Thomas Bangalter". ECA is quite simply, a stylized experimental production team who aren't interested in messing around, but only wanting to make good, quality music.

Artist History ECA's first piece of work was a house track called "Turn on the power" which came to light in March 1999 on the compilation "House party 11" on the label NextEra. This whole compilation was mixed by DJ Manio, and the aforementioned track can be found at the beginning under the name of DJ Manio & DaRoddmann (the name ECA was decided on later). This was followed by a few live gigs: End March - unofficial gig at Club Depo No. 8 in Olomouc April - gig at Club Radost FX in Praque (christening of the above compilation) May - gig at Red House Party, in Mnichovo Hradiste September - gig at Club Roxy in Praque.
