Artist description
bris is dedicated to the music they make and the listeners who support them. bris has established a sound that is difficult to classify, but easy to identify. We're an Icelandic based band and combines provoking melodic vocals with neck-snapping beats, quality guitar lines and inspirational studio work. Being friends since school, we don't see this thing working in any other formation. If one of us would quit, the others would lose an arm. We are a constantly evolving whole, which thrives on feedback from what we create. |

Press Reviews
Review on the song "weimar" from godsofmusic.com: ----- I am, quite simply, blown away. There is nothing to criticize in this work. This is a first. I think I have not heard anything as good as this since U2's Joshua Tree album. This is magnificent rock. The following is taken directly from the band's artist page on MP3.com: ----- ! See Abobe! ----- I will state for the record that I believe this to be among the best produced music I have ever heard from a rock band on MP3.com or any other OMD for that matter. And if it's not the best, it surely is damned close. This song is worthy of the highest praise and surely a Grammy nomination for producer of the year, song of the year and best release of the year – all in the foreign category. ----- What drawback may exist for some is that the vocals are not in English, nor would I want them to be. I could care less that I don't understand the lyrics. What passion is conveyed is beyond the necessity of having to understand the lyrics in English. I would count this release as one of those I would have to have in my rock collection were it available in my local cd shop. ----- Bottom Line: I don't know how it could get better than this. |
