Artist description
To Sing as an Angel…From an early age Samantha has been trained in classical opera and Broadway style musicals. However she has truly spread her wings with Resurrection Records. Samantha has contributed to multiple Resurrection Records songs and is featured on the Paw Ray hit “Weekend Sound”. She not only lends melodies and hooks to various Hip-Hop tracks, but she has gone solo on "The Resurrection of Hip Hop" belting out the Black Sun penned “Leave Me Alone” (Track 15).The Australian born songbird, of both Filipino and Australian heritage, brings an operatic quality to a world that is filled with studio enhanced, mediocre singers. This coming fall, Samantha will be entering a musical academy in Los Angeles to hone her voice even further. Imagine her tremendous, beautiful voice raised beyond its current Olympian heights! The thought is too exhilarating to put into words. With years of experience on stage, Samantha is a natural in front of any size crowd. She fits quite well with and rounds out Resurrection Records’ appeal on its’ show circuit. Samantha’s interaction with the males in the crowds is sassy yet classy and she riles the ladies up when they see her go for broke and hold her own on a stage filled with guys.Samantha is currently working on her solo project that is not going to be classified as “Just another R&B album”. Samantha’s voice is so awe-striking and her appeal is so broad that Resurrection Records has recruited producers of Dance/Trance, R&B, Blues, and Alternative to all collaborate on the production of her album. With this array of sounds/styles and the unifying vision of DJ Papa J, the resulting album is poised to name Samantha Howard as Janet Jackson’s replacement as the queen of pushing the R&B envelope. |
