Artist History
Joe started out by playing the piano at age 4, then violin at age 6. He has been playing guitar since age 13, and has worked with flute and percussion since age 12. He has been singing since he could talk, though not all his music is vocal. Joe conceived of Kahlil when he put together mix tapes for friends in high school -- so many genres to fill musically! Also, much of the music fit into multimedia projects such as film and art concepts... thus "kahlil" was formed (taken from Joe's middle name). Joe started writing "passages", his first major work, in high school, and started to seriously commit it to demos and revisions in college. Other works have been completed, and some are in progress, such as some short films and computer projects. |
