Artist History
Ciborium, originally spawned in the spring of 1995, has been through many obstacles to reach the present day. Like many others bands, Ciborium encountered numerous line-up changes throughout the years that constantly held up any means for progression. Having been through 2 drummers and 3 vocalists, the band finally has a powerful lineup in tact that is sure to bring much more progression, speed, and creativity. In the winter of 1999, Shad Strother (Guitar/Vocals) and Chris Csar (Drums/Vocals), formerly of the Baltimore based band Neptomb, joined the Ciborium realm to help create a project of extreme brutality. To this day, the lineup has been very promising. With a 3 man vocal attack, heavy guitar crunch, and uncanny drumming, there is no stopping the band from continuing to move full force in the death metal genre. |

Press Reviews
Rating: 9.5/10 - "Damn good death-core from Maryland. Considering that they're from the area as Dying Fetus, and they both play death-core, they sound somewhat similar." -Deathcore 'Zine - "Yeah boy! Maryland represent! Good ass metal, no doubt! Catchy as hell. These guys are already going places and are well on to the path to success. Check them out now!" -Firefly Meanzine -"Hailing from Maryland, these guys are all about style. In a world of stagnant, boring death metal, they are like a shining path to a new hope. No doubt about it, Ciborium is one fucking brutal band. And when they finally release a full-length album, watch the fuck out. There is a new school out there, and Ciborium is in the front row ready to teach a few lessons." -The Blasphemy Pages -"When you hear Ciborium, you can tell this is a band that will go far. Sickening deathmetal, heavy as fuck, with some very original riffs that I have rarely heard in deathmetal". -Deathflesh Magazine -"mmmmm, ciborium" -The Cookie Monster |
