Artist History
Robby Friend and Drew Walker, two musical genious's from Miami were looking around town for band's, when the met up at a local mall (The Falls) and hooked up on their guitars, paving the way for the original band, Back-Up Plan. This band has the line-up of Chris Vanreal on vocals, some guy Jeff on drums, and some guy Paul on bass, but this was never to be. Chris got hit by a bus in Homestead a few days later and as forced to leave the band, and being the only contact with Jeff and Paul, they were never to become members. With the two on guitars and Drew on vocals, Drew brought in David Millis on drums. An amazing drummer to bring a beat into the primitive guitar styles of the two. On June 4, 1999, Justin Trucello was brought in on bass, and the band had its original members assembled for the first time. Working on music non-stop for the summer, the band has its first two shows on July 25&26, 1999 @ Churchills Hideway and a local party. They showed the band that they needed much more practise before they would do the live thing again. It was not until September 21, two months and 4 band name changes later (Plan of Action, No Pants Nation, Friktion Adiktion) that now Too Far Gone hit the stage again, again at a party, and rocked the 80 or so people in attendance. With new songs and a new attitude, the band played again on December 11 @ The Fu-Bar. This was to be an emotionally degrading show, with bad equipment and lack of organization. The group didnt bounch back until April 21, 2000, when at another party, they put on their most stunning preformace to date in front of a crowd of about 150 people. A week before that, they recorded the mp3's you are hopefully listening to right now. Unfortunately, Dave soon after left the band for personal reasons (something to do with ska fever) and now Robby has left the band also, and Too Far Gone as we know it has split into Too Far Gone (led by drew) and Out of Line (led by Robby), Here at TFG we wish Out Of Line luck and we hope they do well. And soon enough you'll see us both playing shows together! |
