Artist description The Survivors, straight out of central NJ, are a six piece punk band with some Oi!, hardcore, and pogo tossed in! We are out to keep peace in the scene, speak our minds, and have some fun!! We are signed to Squigtone Records in NJ, and will be releasing our first CD this Independence Day!

Artist History THE LONG VERSION: Founded in the waning days of 1997 by Brian Gorsegner (vox) and Doug Black (guitar) as 48 Reasons. Soon joined by Drew Chebin on bass and Chirs Mitaritondo on drums (neither of whom had ever played their respective instruments before!). Debuted 6/21/'98, then Doug left. Brian took over on guitar, then a kid named Eric took over on guitar, before Doug finally rejoined and all was right with the world again. The band played a successful club debut with the reunited original cast in January '99, and marked the new era for the band by a name change to the Survivors. After internal problems again threatened the band and Drew and the Survivors parted ways. Finally, Eric "Spencer" Noonan took over the bass, and a few months later John "Johnny Boots" Verange took over as lead guitar over Doug's sweet, sweet rhythms. This latest incarnation seems to be the key to success for the band, giving both old material and new alike a fresh new sound. Joined by longtime friend and ex-GI Schmoe member Drew Blood in August 2000 as a full time backup singer. THE SHORT VERSION: "We came, we saw, we got blowed up."
