Artist description Basically it's like this...The music on this album represents a side of BAY ROOT that lives beneath the studio floor. Like the shit you bump on the way home from a club, or like what you stay up and listen to when no one is around. Headphone shit for the lyricists, meditation. This album reflects a personal side of us as well. Back in the day when Jay and I would be chillin up in the apartment complex, mixin records and just looping samples together with the tape deck. We started forming our sound, which was not what the average ear would expect. Most of the stuff we were diggin for was hella raw and grimy. So we collabed on this shit to bring you our uncompromised sound from over the years. The Tool Shed represents not just a physical spot, but more a sound that comes from it. Crazy sounds come from a tool shed, especailly metal ones, and most of those sounds are usually uneasy to the ear and leaves a haunting eeriness that lingers with you. And naturally it has that BAY ROOT bump to it.
