Artist description
His contagious charisma and soulful stage presence leaves audiences begging for more…. And always walking away with a smile. His music touches a wide range of emotions… granting the listener access to an intense world where mystery and romance meet the explosive pop sound and poignant lyrics that can only come from the mind of such a natural talent.Having performed all over the Northeast both as a solo artist and with his former band "Intwind", Matthew JC has enjoyed huge success. Songs like "Misunderstood" and "Best of Friends" were ripe for college radio and TV, and became local favorites in Connecticut with little effort. From there, the albums "Brother" and "Rockstar 23" were released, the latter selling more than 800 copies, completely unsupported by touring. Now in Dallas, Matthew JC has experienced swift acclaim in the Deep Ellum, Lower Greenville and Austin music scenes as he promotes his new album, "September 22" and a forthcoming song from the soundtrack of the movie "Wrong Number" from A Slice of Pie Productions. |

Press Reviews
“Somewhere between fact and fiction, Graceland and GQ, lies a world where pancakes are never without syrup, and guitar is always played with a comfortable pair of shoes. This is the world of Matthew JC…”-Cob Music Review "When I commented to Chad, the guy who runs the open mic at Laura's Last Chance on Tuesdays, that Matt certainly didn't lack enthusiasm, he said "Are you kidding me? Most of the time we have to just slow him down a little bit he's got so much energy." -www.coolcitiesusa.com |
