Artist History
Mark Lucas' musical journey has taken him from early country influences through blues, folk rock, 80's pop and back to a unique blend of all that sits somewhere under the singer/songwriter banner. The roots/country influence is undeniable but Mark's strength lies in lyrics and stories at the heart of his songs. Asked to describe his style or identify specific influences Lucas has this to say: " I don't believe in pigeon-holes and never have. First of all I'm a songwriter and the material appears to have it's own life; as a writer I'm influenced in some way by just about everything.....it's the way I deal with the world and, well, let's just say it's cheaper than therapy!". |
