    Artist History
Marco has been playing guitar since 1977. He's been writing songs almost as long. His first album, unsigned, unpublished, and unpromoted is called "Hootenany Green." It was copyrighted 1989 as a demo on digital audio tape (DAT) and cassette only, and sold 50 copies on first printing and 150 on the second. Marco says it contains 8 songs and a commercial. "Muselix," which you'll hear if you attend one of his recitals is the commercial. Well, a parody of such. Marco released it to radio stations under the name "anonymous," so he's thinking they didn't know where to send all the checks. The demo also includes "Hey Mon," which was co-written in 1988 with Carl Franklin. The music from it can be heard on any computer that has a soundblaster built in. Or look for it in search engines as reggae.mid Marco has about 400 original songs, but he's only happy with 300 or so. He has performed in Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, Kansas, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Illinois, Massachusetts, North and South Dakota, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Wyoming, Washington, DC and of course NYC, Connecticut and Rhode Island closer to where he comes from. Marco likes classical and folk mostly, but he also likes punk, pop and parody music. He used to play bass in a Christian Heavy Metal band called "POE," so if you hear a weird influence now and then it's probably just loose eardrums. "If you think the music you're hearing here is eclectic, you should hear what I do when I'm playing out in the streets!" he once told someone in the mezzanine to a theatre where he was playing classical guitar before nine showings of Phantom Of The Opera's bus-and-truck group. He didn't know it at the time but the woman he was telling this to was Sarah Brightman's Broadway understudy. She went on to lead both on Broadway and in the touring companies. Marco currently plays every day in the summer at an amusement park, and hibernates in the fall, winter and spring. He writes whenever he's awake and compares notes while he's asleep. Marco is a Pisces, loves the color purple, poetry and everything besides Proctor and Gamble products like Pringles, Puffs, Olean, Pantene, Prell and Pepto-Bismo. "Oh, did I leave out Puritan Oil, Jif, Tide and Pert?"

I tape audio very close to that with no space on the tape.__i really loved your short song. it made me laugh out loud and that is always a good thing. julie___My 4 3/4 year old daughter liked your tunes - she was dancing to "Frybread" while I played it this morning. :) Keep it up! --gw____Oh man, I loved that song, "One more song"...I was laughing my arse off through it! Keep up the good stuff! "z"____Hi there! I can remember you once playing at Bay Beach. My friends and I loved your awesome singing and we loved your slippers! You even came up to us and gave us a picture of you on a sticker with your website...We all love you so much that we named our e-mail address after you. Well please write back to us. --allie____Marc, I don't remember if I told you this, but I'm a group leader for a group of Tiger Cub Scouts. We had our monthly meeting last night, and we dosome sort of activity as a group. Well, I chose to teach those kids a few songs. We did "Frybread" and "The Shortest Song You Ever Heard." Can you imagine a group of kids singing "Frybread, frybread, make me some frybread." I concluded the meeting by telling the kids to sing those two songs at school tomorrow. Neat, huh? --Patrick____Well, just as the subject line suggests, they're great. I think I especially like Fried Bread. Just wanted to let you know that. See ya. --Scott____Enjoyed your music this morning with my coffee. Looks like you're having fun. As James Taylor said "The secret of life is to enjoy the passage of time."
