Artist History
Dustlab got it's name from the dusty dorm room that it was born in. Steve Gordon a.k.a Psyren Dust started at age 14 as a DJ at a local indy radio station. From there he began producing for his local rap group. He knew he'd end up doing all three rapping, Dj'ing and producing, yet paying forcollege was more important. He sold his equipment because graduating college was his mother's dream for him. Upon regaining his bedroom studio in '98, Steve stumbled upon three of the most influential CDs he had ever encountered...Roni Size and Reprazent's "New Forms", Massive Attack's "Blue Lines", and Portishead's "Dummy". The Dustlab, Psyren Dust and JungleBreaks were born! In 1999 Psyren was the winner of the URB Magazine/Moonshine Music/Roland USA Groove Contest. Currently Dustlab is working on remixesfor Moonshine, and Psyren is holding down the fort with an upcoming Weekly at Stage Right Coffee Co. in Omaha, NE with a progressive stint as a resident DJ at small coffee house! Look for more from the Dustlab, soon! |

Press Reviews
Slow-paced, methodically precise, deadly accurate, distorted and heart heavy, DnB just doesn't get much better than this. There are points in several songs where you really are just floored at the urban inspired sounds that these guys come up with. Be warned, though, this is music that will affect more than just your ears, your soul and your heart are in jeopardy here. Dustlab expertly combines elements of triphop, hiphop, distorted industrial, and noise to engineer one of the most original and haunting sounds out there. I could spend all day listening to "Guaranteed" and "14k Per Second", two of the best songs I've heard in a while. But judge for yourself. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
