Artist History
Born in the Capital of Rock and Roll, Cleveland, Ohio, Darice has been singing, writing, composing and studying piano since she was a child. With 10 years of professional experience under her belt, Darice has spent the past 2 years developing her own blend of modern rock. With most of her vocal influences coming from R&B singers and most of her musical influences coming from industrial/rock bands, Darice has a style that is truly unique. A voice raw with edge and attitude, Darice brings something fresh and strong to a male dominated field that no other female artist is portraying. She is currently working on a new album and rehearsing her own band in Los Angeles, Ca. About the songs on this EP, Darice says, "These songs are about conquering fear, anger and abuse. These songs are not angry, but rather passionate feelings on how to deal with these emotions without resorting to violence. All the songs have a positive message delivered in a defiant style." |

Press Reviews
Music Connection - Darice Pequignot has put together a four song demo disc that combines modern rock, techno and alt-femme attitude. "Monster" is the winner, here, a dark, smoldering, rhythmic number that seems like something PJ Harvey would concoct if she were in a dancing mood. "I Am Leaving You" is a slow atmospheric piece that shows off this artist's vocal presence...Good Stuff." |
