Artist History
American songwriter/artist Brett Perkins is on the move in Europe.
Dividing his time between Denmark and Southern Calfornia, Perkins has made his presence quickly known in European songwriting circles, co-writing and performing with several other top writers including Boo Hewerdine (UK), Kevin Welch (US) and Ester Brohus (DK). Recent national television appearances, and subsequent Hot Rotation singles in National Radio in Denmark have generated glowing reviews, and new momentum for this solid artist.
Touring highlight performances include the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (UK), MIDEM (FR), Tin Pan South (Nashville) , Kerrville Folk Festival (TX), London Music Week, Sierra Songwriters Festival (CA), Tųndor Festival (DK), and a recent Irish tour in support of platinum artist Juliet Turner.
Also known for his pinpoint harmony vocals, Perkins appears on several other artists albums, including Runrigsā 1999 release āIn Search of Angelsā. Longtime fans of the early 80's Los Angeles 'Power Pop' scene may remember Perkins as the lead vocalist and chief songwriter for L.A. based band 'The Sneaks' ('80-'85)
