Jimy "Baby James" TaylorBorn in New York City, a natural first tenor,to a singing and tap dancing family known as Rae & Rae. He has sung from time to time with just about everybody who is anybody in Soul Music. He began singing with the original "CRUISERS" in the 50's which launched his fabulous career spanning over 40 years. It was the vision of his late manager, Evelyn Johnson, that brought his talents to the attention of Helen Williams which led to a stint as lead vocalist of "THE TONY WILLIAMS PLATTERS" from 1991 thru 1999. Now Jimy takes his talents to the next level as he begins his solo career. Still fond of the Doo-wop sound, Jimy is backed by the super talented group - "KRUISE KONTROL." Behind the scenes Jimy is part or a circle of hard core, tried and dyed R&B singers who support and promote Doo-Wop. This circle includes Grant Kitchens of The Ink Spots, Don Thomas and Terry King of The Drifters,Linda Champion of The Harptones, The Intruders, Blue Magic, Sammy Turner and Tony Silvester of the Main Ingredient. Jimy as a working memberof SAG (Screen Actors Guild) can be seen in many current feature films like "Shaft" and "Seige" and TV series including "LAW AND ORDER" and "OZ" |
