Artist description
Woodpecker is a heavy three piece band from Santa Cruz, California. They play a heavy style of music that's hard to describe by comparison to other bands. Their music has been described by Thom Wilson (producer of the Offspring, Dead Kenedys, TSOL, and The Vandals) as being "...shamanic, tribal and often hypnotic." Other reviews are as follows: "...dirgy, slow, dark and heavy as fuck..."(Russ Rankin of Hectic Times/Good Riddance) and "...righteous noise for those willing to take it thick and dirty..."(Scraps Vol. 2). More reviews.
