Blues Bites by Ed Ivey
Professor Longhair would love The Screaming Bluedogson their new self-titled release (Blue Dog 9701), which has a rollicking, piano driven sound courtesy of Marc Suwanski. Best cut: "Shake It, Don't Break It," an instrumental honky-tonk blues boogie that lets Suwanski shine. He's a tremendous player, in the tradition of a young Pinetop Perkins.
