Artist description We are an international collaboration of sound. We want to make you dance, smile, laugh, cry. The music is an experince. It is a story and a journey where you can experience all those emotions. But mostly we hope to make you think. We're not necessarily trying to tell people what's wrong or what's right. We just want people to think about this world we share.

Music Style It's really hard thing to desribe your sound. Sometimes you can't pin it down to one thing or even a few things. I suppose we have a folkish-reggae-jazzy sound. Whatever that means. I just hope it continues to evolve.

Musical Influences We have influences from all genres of music. However, people and their stories influences our music more than other musicians do. People ya' know. Their struggles and their victories. Those things are really the motivation behind the music.

Similar Artists I try not to compare our sound with that of other artists. We are unique as they are unique. We have an original sound.. an original expression. Check it out for yourself!

Artist History We've all been together for a few years now and we help each other grow through artistic expression. Through poetry, dance, art, and prayer. All are ways that the Benevolent speaks to us and through us and from that expression we grow as people and spirits.

Group Members The Maddhatter, Matthew Lavin, Mitch Jeserich, Phiilip Watson, Wafi Al-safi, and David Linschott.

Instruments We like to keep it simple. We mainly stay in the acoustic domain. Guitars and drums and bass.
