Artist description
The Beestings are a band dedicated to the resuscitation of alternative music, a format believed to have been destroyed some years ago by the corporate record industry and its canned R&B music worshipped by the masses of teeny-boppers in their Tommy Hilfiger clothes. |

Artist History
Formed in mid-1997, The Beestings pursued their "do-it-yourself" ethic with the same vital energy found in their sound, and in December 1998 released their first single "Been A While" (RR/BE003). The single marked the public debut of their homespun label, rare records. With their performance debut at Keene State College in February 1999, The Beestings are now planning ahead for gigging around the North East, with plans to hit New Haven, Boston and New York City. They are also looking for a drummer and female guitarist/vocalist to flesh out their line-up. In the meantime, the boys are developing their on-line presence and recording their six song EP, "Love Songs for Malcontents", due for release June 1999 |
